Sweet Baby Gurlz

Here are some of my FAV cupcakes to make!  My sweet pea pod babies in sweet lil pink :)  OH how I luv these lil babes!!!  Not the best pics but it was night and I didn't have great lighting!

Here is my latest cake creation.  A lil 7 yr old boy requested a Star Wars cake for his birthday.  My hubby was jealous ;)  This cake even had edible fondant lightsabers.  Top tier was chocolate cake with chocolate buttercream frosting, bottom tier was Confetti cake with Vanilla buttercream.  Since I had so much left over I also made cupcakes to match.

A Lil Buggy

This is a cake I did for a baby shower a few months ago and had to post!  I loved it so much.  The dad was an exterminator :)  So the baby's room was going to be in "bugs" and I was give a swatch of the fabric to go off of.  I made the bugs just like the one's in the fabric.  I was SO happy how it came out!  This was a French Vanilla cake filled with raspberry whipped filling, iced in Vanilla Buttercream and covered and decorated in marshmallow fondant.

Cupcake LOVE

Just wanted to share some of my latest cupcakes I have done this summer.  Haven't had time for too much since we have been so busy but.....
These little baseball cupcakes I did for my son's end of the year team party!  They were a hit :)  Chocolate cupcakes with Vanilla Buttercream and mini fondant baseball bats and ball with the laces hand painted on in cake coloring.

The little martians are of course from Toy Story :)  I was so happy how they turned out!  Funfetti cake and Vanilla Buttercream.  The martians were all made from marshmallow fondant as were the discs for the "O" and "4" for the birthday boys' name and age! 

So over last week and the weekend I was crazy caking!!  It started with a surprise baby shower for a close friend and I didn't know what to do for her.   After two beautiful girls they are soooo excited to be completing their family with a boy!  There were only going to be about 12 gals at a restaurant for this so I decided on cupcakes.  So, I went with some Pea Pod Baby's.  I was delighted how they came out.  They were a hit!  This was the beginning of my babies! 

I made them out of homemade marshmallow fondant.  Here are all my babies lined up and waiting for a sweet lil home.

I made Chocolate Cupcakes with Vanilla Buttercream & French Vanilla Cupcakes with Lemon Buttercream for a little variety... they were a hit.. here are my babies all packed up and ready to go.. the only complaints that I received were that they were TOO CUTE to eat ;) 

So I guess I should also post my son's Birthday cake.  My youngest, my boy, turned 5 this mo :(  and he LOVES Spongebob so mom made him a cake in honor of his favorite cartoon dude!  It was a Funfetti sheet cake with whip filling and Vanilla Buttercream.  It was tasty ;) Here it is and here he is blowing out his big 5 yr candles! 

At sissy's game this weekend bubby was playing with some friends and they were finding bugs ;)  He found a cute lil ladybug and a "CALAPITTER"!!! hehe sooooo cute

Oofta! It's been a LONG time since I posted anything!  That is how life is going with the kids' sports schedules.  Our gal is in Softball and the boy is in his last season of t-ball before he switches over to coach-pitch.. It has been pretty fun so far!  Just busy.  So here are a few pics of the kiddos in action ;)  They are doing great!!  Taty is a GREAT hitter!  And Connor seems to like to high five the other team's players when they get on a base he is playing! haha He is SUCH a good sport ;)  (really I think he just doesn't quite get it yet)

Our new family fav is our Wii Beatles Rock Band ;)  We have spent hours on this thing already!  It's craziness how addicting it is!  

Here are some pics from this past weekend. The kids got to pull some carrots out of grampa's garden! mmmmmm and some pics of the kids playing football with dad and grampa..  Dad "Lucied"  Bubby.  It was too funny.  He put the ball out and then pulled it right before he was going to kick it but luckily he kept his balance ;)

Christmas is FINALLY over and we can focus on life again! WHEW.....

So cute story... hilarious really. We are at the movies last night with our kids and all the cousins. Nathan was going to the football game today and had an extra ticket since I couldn't go, no sitter.   So he leans into our son and says, "hey you wanna go to the football game with dad tomorrow?" He says, "no, I don't wanna, let sissy". So dad says, " You don't want to come with me :( I'll get you a root beer, IN A BOTTLE all for you!" So innocent like this was totally normal Bubby reaches his hand up and says, "ok, and 45 dollars" HAHAHAHAHA

Out of the mouths of babes! Learning early how to get what he wants! ;)
